Workforce Transition
Workforce stability is a key aspect of successful operations at WIPP. NTS will drive successful workforce, pension, benefits, and insurance transition ensuring fair hiring practices to the incumbent workforce. NTS understands the risk to morale and productivity that could result from worker uncertainty in benefits that support their well-being. To mitigate this risk, our experienced personnel ensure proper management and communication with the workforce, including the following:
- Ensuring incumbent employees and other worker categories with preferential hiring status are provided opportunities to fill vacancies in substantially equivalent, non-managerial positions or other positions for which they are qualified
- Establishing a total compensation system structured to honor service of incumbent employees and ensure incumbent and non-incumbent employees are provided fringe benefits in accordance with contract and legal requirements
- Ensuring a stable transfer of pension and benefit plan responsibilities
- Establishing effective bargaining unit relationships, honoring current and negotiating in good faith on future Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Defining fair Worker’s Compensation policies
